Today is a new day!

Today is a new day! One that will end up in the history books and one that will be talked about for some time.

I have mixed emotions about our presidential elections. I'm a person that accepts change if it is going to benefit the people. President elect Barack Obama will have some tough times ahead of him, no matter who won this election it's going to take time and a lot of effort on or part to get on the road to recovery.

My strongest emotions come from the statements I've seen from supporters of change. America is developing into a country of dependent people! People are waiting for the government to bail them out, they are unwilling to stand up and fight for themselves. It's time to stop playing the victim roll and start understands that you are in control of your own destination. Nobody can fix our problems except ourselves.

Government leaders should be our visionaries; the USA is the land of opportunity, the land of freedom and the land of possibility. People risk their lives to come to the USA, they live in conditions that I myself wouldn't, just for the opportunity to live in this awesome country.

So what has happened to some Americans? Do they not appreciate freedom or opportunity? We live in the most powerful country on earth but yet many can't take care of themselves, they blame everything or everyone for their situation. The government isn't designed to hold your hand, tell you not to buy something that you couldn't afford or wake you up in the morning so you can go to work. They are not responsible for putting a roof over your head or food on your table. YOU should be responsible for yourself!

THIS ISN'T HARSH, THIS IS REALITY

We all heard about wanting "Change", start changing yourself and the world will change around you! Changing yourself will open new doors of opportunity; it will bring you prosperity plus make you a stronger and happier person. Unless you change first everything the government does is meaningless.

Change YOU first!
