The New Year has arrived!

The year 2011 arrived and arrive it did... with a snow storm that dropped almost a foot of snow along with blizzard conditions. Some days I really wonder why anyone would live in a climate like this. Then I quickly remind myself that I am very grateful to be able to put 20 layers of clothes on and stand in frigid weather shoveling frozen precipitation.

Looking at my poorly updated blog today I see my last entry was back in July! I thought with blowing snow and cold temperatures, I could or should do a little update. OK the truth is after looking at my URL statistics and seeing how many times you guys have visited my blog I better do SOMETHING in this new year.

Speaking of URL traffic, I have to give credit to Mike Dillards "Building on A budget" for sharing some easy steps on getting more visitors. This past year has been so busy with everything from business to projects around the house and little get aways I'm hoping things will be a little slower this coming year.

It will never be too busy for a little Harley riding. The gears are turning on what I can do to my Harley before the riding season starts. Usually my modifications aren't too extreme as my bike is for riding and not showing! Found some guys in Utah that are making a sliding tour pak, this caught my attention so far and will be doing some investigating.

Starting a new year also brings changes to current laws around the country. One change that we have been following is texting and distracted driving, this is one of the reasons that we believe we are in the right place and the right time with FDI Voice. Imagine updating your Twitter or Facebook status using just your voice... with FDI we have ya covered! We know the laws will not eliminate texting and I don't believe that it should, just be responsible and use hands free services like FDI Handsfree. Everyone around you is somebodies family, keep the roadways safe.

Ok, here is my update and if you want more check me out on Twitter or Facebook. This was way more than the 140 characters I'm use too! Micro blogging just fits my thought patterns.

May this New Year find you and your family safe and prosperous.

Citizens Against Distracted Driving (CADD) press release

Citizens Against Distracted Driving (CADD) announces upcoming launch on August 27th, 2010 CADD pledges to take the battle to the street where distracted driving is claiming lives and destroying families.

“With focus on education, prevention, victim advocacy, and most of all SOLUTIONS to this growing epidemic, we aim to stem the tide of destruction…”

Windham, NH, July 4, 2010: FDI CEO William J Andreoli took the public stage on our nation’s 234th birthday and the anniversary of FDI’s 7 years in business, and announced the single most aggressive attack on the growing epidemic of “distracted driving” since it’s coming to the forefront of the public consciousness more than two years ago.

“While everyone is talking about the problem, we’re
focused on the solution."

But just having the solution is simply NOT ENOUGH! We MUST bring to
bear the full charitable spirit of America as well as the best and brightest minds and technology to reverse this disturbing trend… Through the contributions of FDI and concerned citizens like you and me, CADD will take this battle to the streets, with a focus on education, prevention, victim advocacy, and most of all SOLUTIONS to this epidemic that is claiming lives and destroying families on a daily basis.”

MORE INFORMATION about CADD will be released as the official launch date of August 27, 2010 draws near. For more information about FDI and its continuing crusade to stamp out distracted driving, while preserving every American’s right to communicate from behind the wheel, visit

FDI Voice, We have solutions!

With the beginning of a new year we have to be aware of changing laws that may effect our ability to communicate using mobile technology. Many states already have passed laws banning texting while operating a motor vehicle and I believe that this is just the start of things to come.

To educate the public a British police department released a public service Video demonstrating how dangerous this has become and how widespread the problem is. If you have teenagers take the time to show them how dangerous this is. The video is very graphic but drives home the point...

After watching the video and you still need the ability to send text messages or emails or simply make a phone calls while you drive then FDI Voice has some simple solutions.

Watch how FDI Voice Hands Free can keep you connected....

Drive responsibly and remember you're in the car and not a telephone booth!

Happy trails....
